Well, they came to my school to give a talk to us sec 4 express people. And what they spoke about was really an eye opener.
I had no idea that bear bile was extracted in such a cruel manner. It's inhuman.
(and I'm so friggin' pissed off with the people who do these things. AND WHY EAT DOGS? GRRR. Shark fin consumption should be ceased too!)
*there are around 60 HERBS that are JUST AS EFFECTIVE.

AND THEY ONLY LET THE BEARS OUT WHEN IT'S TIME TO SLAUGHTER THEM FOR THEIR PAWS TO BE SOLD TO TCM STORES TO MAKE BEAR PAW SOUP.
b*stards.
That's not all, do you know that the testing of products on animals is seriously off putting?

Poor bunnies! And then the speaker told us about this chimp who was very attached to her caregiver and who also was taught how to 'speak' to us humans via the American sign language.
So the story goes...
The caregiver was pregnant and so was the chimp.
When the caregiver experienced a miscarriage, she was inevitably devastated.
and...
Around that period of time, the chimp experienced a miscarriage too...
When the caregiver returned to work, the chimp spoke to her in the American Sign Language, saying,
"Where's baby?"and the caregiver signalled back,
"Baby died..."the chimp signalled back...
"Come hug."These animals are so much more intelligent than we think they are.
Yet the fact that they are living things WITH RIGHTS TOO, is cast aside when such acts of cruelty are carried out.
Don't you feel horrible that situations like these are happening?
Do your part to stop the trade.
e.g, don't keep endangered animals as pets (it's illegal anyway.)
If you see anything that involves the mistreatment of endangered animals,
call ACRES's 24 hour hotline at
97837782.Speak up for animals!P.S,

think this is cute?
sure it is.
his mother was murdered so you could interact with him at your local zoo.still think he looks alright in the cage?
food for thought:
How would you like it if your children were in the same predicament?
'nuff said.
(click the picture for more details)
to help the ones who don't know sign language. Help them speak up. They're crying out.
Make their pleas heard.I'm going to volunteer at their conservation/rescue centre
(in Chua Chu Kang) whenever I can.
who wants to join me?
let me know.
P.P.S,
if you think they get paid a lot,
think again.
their C.E.O gets 1.4k a month.
imagine. the people under him aren't getting much either.
as low as $500 a month.
That's why what they do is so admirable. It's pure passion. So go on, help them out.
You'd be doing your conscience a favour as well.
